With the hiring of now former Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin as head football coach at LSU on Nov. 30, the Tigers enter a new era with the most sought after coach in college football. LSU Director of Athletics Verge Ausberry said. “We shared when we began this search that LSU would secure the best coach in the country and Lane Kiffin is just that. Lane is a proven winner who has thrived in an era of college athletics that requires coaches to adapt and innovate. His passion, creativity and authenticity make him the ideal leader to guide LSU into the future and consistently position us among the sport’s elite."
The hiring came a day after the Tigers, in a valiant effort, lost 17-13 to Oklahoma (now 10-2) in Norman. Interim head coach Frank Wilson will coach the Tigers (7-5) in their bowl game, which will be announced Sunday, Dec. 7.

LSU Baseball Tigers
win the 2025 College World Series
and the National Championship
On Saturday, June 21, in the first game of College World Series final,
LSU snapped Coastal Carolina's 26-game winning steak, 1-0, and then
on Sunday, June 22, completed the sweep, 5-3, winning the 2025 CWS
and being crowned the 2025 NCAA National Champions of Baseball.
LSU won its 8th national baseball title and their 2nd in the last 3 years,
last winning it in 2023. ABC-TV broadcast team called them a dynasty.

Women’s Basketball Tigers loses a tough battle in the Elite 8 in NCAA tourney
Congrats to the The LSU Women’s Basketball team on an outstanding season that unfortunately ended March 30 in a hard fought game against No. 1 seed UCLA in the Elite 8, to which they've advanced for the last 3 years. 💜💛 The 2023 National Champs provied once again that they go deep into the NCAA Tournament. 🏀 Geaux Tigers!
LSU Women’s Gymnastics Team Wins 15th NCAA Regional title, advances to 3rd consecutive NCAA championshiop round 🐯🏅
The No. 1 nationally ranked and top-seeded LSU Gymnastics team claimed their 15th regional championship title in program history on Sat., April 5. Their score of 198.050 marked the first time in program history that the Tigers scored over 198 points in both regional rounds. With the win, The Gymnastics Tigers, who won the 2025 SEC championship, earned their third consecutive appearance in the NCAA Championships and 34th NCAA overall. They compete in the National Semi-Finals on April 17. Geaux Tigers! 💜💛
